Agents & Skills

Specialize copy generation and create custom agents for your team.

Agents & Skills are the heart of text automation in SMM. An agent is a specialist (copywriter, social strategist…) with its own instructions and rules, used everywhere text is written: captions, copy, editorial plans.

Three Levels of Agents

1️⃣ Base Kit

  • Who sees it: Everyone
  • Who modifies it: Only admin (changes apply to EVERYONE)
  • What you can do:
  • Customize: create a personal override (original stays untouched)
  • Disable: hide it from your list
  • Restore: revert to default whenever you want

A customized agent applies ONLY to you. The original remains intact for others.

2️⃣ My Agents

  • Who sees it: Only you
  • Who modifies it: You
  • What you can do: Full CRUD (create, read, modify, delete)

Use this section to create custom specialists (e.g. "Fashion Copywriter", "TikTok Social Strategist", "Email Marketing Pro").

3️⃣ Global Default (Admin Only)

If you're admin:

  • You see a New Global Default button
  • Changes to the base kit apply to ALL users
  • Perfect for standardizing team-wide processes

Use carefully: when you add an agent to the base kit, it appears on everyone's dashboard.

Anatomy of an Agent

Each agent has:

📛 Icon + Name

  • Emoji or symbol for quick recognition
  • Descriptive name (e.g. "E-commerce Copywriter")

👤 Role

  • One line describing who it is (e.g. "expert in copy for women's fashion ads")
  • Helps AI understand context

📝 Instructions (System Prompt)

  • How to write, what tone to use
  • Brand rules to respect
  • Examples of desired output
  • Banned words, standard CTAs

E.g:

You are a copywriter specialized in fashion e-commerce.
Always write in a friendly but authoritative tone.
Max 280 characters for X, 2000 for email.
Always use "size" not "fit", "color" not "shade".
End with a clear CTA: "Learn more" or "Shop now".

🔧 Skills (optional)

  • Additional guideline files (tone of voice, glossary, examples…)
  • You can add multiple per agent

⚙️ Parameters (optional)

  • Custom key-value pairs
  • E.g. tone: "ironic", target: "millennial"
  • AI receives these when executing the agent

How to Use an Agent

In AI Copy (Copy Studio)

  • Open the form, section "Agent"
  • Pick an agent from base kit or My Agents
  • Write your brief
  • When you generate, AI uses the agent's instructions

In Editorial Plan

  • In the wizard, if you installed agents from Market:
  • "Social Strategist" guides the plan (picks formats/angles)
  • "Social Copywriter" writes production captions

If you have no agents, generation uses global defaults.

Skills: Additional Guidelines

A Skill is a markdown/txt file with rules, glossary, examples.

Example Skills:

  • Tone of Voice 2026 — 5 available tones, with 10 examples each
  • Fashion Glossary — correct vs banned terms
  • Brand XYZ Guidelines — what to do/avoid with the brand
  • SEO Keywords — keywords to use in copy

How to add it to an agent:

  1. Open the agent (customize or create new)
  2. Tab Skills
  3. Upload file (markdown or txt) or Write a new skill
  4. Give it a name (e.g. "Tone of Voice")
  5. Save

AI will read the skill when writing.

Market: Ready-Made Agents

In the Market tab, you find:

  • ~10 specialized SMM agents (Social Copywriter, Strategist, Email Pro, etc.)
  • One click to install them in your agents
  • Import skills from GitHub/skills.sh — paste a link to a SKILL.md and it imports

Caution: Import loads the skill from GitHub. Use only trusted repos.

Team Permissions

  • Collaborators: See My Agents + customized Base Kit, NOT Global Agents
  • Owner/Manager: See and modify everything (My Agents + Base Kit + Global)

Practical Example

Scenario: You're an agency with 3 clients. Each has a different tone.

Solution:

  1. Create 3 agents in My Agents:
  • "Luxury Copywriter" (authoritative tone)
  • "Fast Food Copywriter" (energetic tone)
  • "SaaS Copywriter" (technical-clear tone)
  1. In the plan wizard for the Luxury client:
  • Pick "Luxury Copywriter"
  • Production uses that tone for all captions
  1. In the plan wizard for Fast Food:
  • Pick "Fast Food Copywriter"
  • Output is completely different (more energy)

Common issues

Agent not applying in copy generation?

  • In Copy Studio form, make sure you selected your agent
  • If you pick "None", it uses global defaults
  • Save the form before generating

Instructions are too long?

  • Max ~2000 characters of instructions (AI reads them, but too long = confusion)
  • Put the detail in a separate Skill instead

Want to share an agent with the team?

  • As owner/admin, copy the instructions and skills
  • Create it in the Global Default
  • It will appear in everyone's base kit

Well-built agents = 10x better output. Invest the time: clear prompts pay off enormously.
